Vic Rislow - 6

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Vic. We played together in the Mavahi bands and in the Melody Boys. I felt I had, among others, a small part in getting him into the "music business". I know Ralph Shank was very proud of Vic. Once I was staying in Martinsville with my parents and Vic came through town and looked me up. We talked about trumpet and I told him I wasn't playing as good as I wanted. Within a few days, he sent me some instructional trumpet CDs to help me rescue my "chops". I'll miss him along with many others.
