My brother, Vic, died of complications from cancer treatment on December 20, 2005, in Lewisburg, PA. He had fought without complaint and with adherence to medical instruction since his treatment had begun in July 2005. We were all stunned and saddened by his unexpected death;
There will be a memorial for Vic, on January 17, at Susquehanna University, where he taught for 35 years. Further information will be in a forthcoming obituary. If you'd like to read the School's announcement of his memoriam, please click on

My home address is: Nell D. Rislow, PO Box 16064, Tallahassee, FL 32317; Phone number is: 850-906-0070.
For the entire Rislow family, Martinsville, our friends, and school experiences played an enormous and lasting role in our development. Vic never lost his connection to his musical roots there. |

Re: Victor Rislow's Death |
Nell---so sorry to hear of Vic's passing. I had e-mailed him a couple of times this past yr. when I heard that he was sick. He replyed with short messages. I was ahead of him in school, but considered him a good friend & will miss him. With prayers, Irvin |

Re: Victor Rislow's Death |
Nell,
Sorry for your loss and the rest of us music lovers. Vic and I played together not only in the band but in a few dance bands. He was a excellent trumpet man and taught us all some great hot licks on his horn. I can remember like yesterday playing backup to his horn with Paul Walker's band at the country club. He will remain fondly in my thoughts.
