Clara Hopkins Died Saturday, December 6, 2008. A graveside service for Clara Mae Hopkins, 86, of 980 Beckham Church Road, Axton, who died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at her home, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery in Mocksville, N.C. The Revs. Eldon Morgan and Don Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel. She was born in Mocksville on June 27, 1922, to Lonnie Phillip Hopkins and Emma Flora Leach Hopkins. They preceded her in death. She was an active member of Calvary Christian Church. Surviving are a sister, Ruth Louise Hopkins Sowers of Kissimmee, Fla.; a brother, Lonnie Lee Hopkins of Axton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Calvary Christian Church, P.O.
