Hey guys: If any of you former band members read my entry on the band link, then you'll see I was looking for a tenor sax last year. Well, I found one. A nice guy, who lives at the lake, sold me his 40 year old Selmer Bundy. This horn was basically scratch free and has a wonderful sound. I've been working hard on it to get ready for playing it in the Kazim Shrine Band "The Noblemen" here in Roanoke, VA. This is the dance band that plays big band music. I've been playing the baritone and alto saxes in this band for three years and now will switch to the tenor sax. Wow, I can hardly wait. If you guys like great music from the 40's, 50's and 60's in the swing, jazz, latin, Waltz, etc. style, then let me know and we'll get you hooked up with some tickets in April for our Spring Fling. Get those dancing shoes on and get ready for some good times...
Please note my new email address. By the way, Doug Dennis and I played golf in Myrtle Beach together recently and we dragged up a lot of names from our Southside Martinsville neighborhood out Forest Street. That was a blast. We also discussed the great looking gals of our high school years. Can't mention them here for fear of insulting those who may be left out of our conversation, but all of you guys helped make our Mavahi years very memorable, to say the least.
