A big thanks to the committee: Margaret Ann Haynes Nagle, Billie T. Hensley (and wife, Fran), Bruce Lupton, Carl Wayne Clark, Betty Jo Brown Fulcher, Pat Stanley, Nancy Jean Price Snyder, Judy Prillaman and Doug Riddle. You did a fantastic job! Especially in 103-degree weather!
Thanks to John and Loretta Yeaman for opening their beautiful home for all of us.
And last, but certainly not least, a huge thanks to Liz and Joe Gillispie for all their work. I can only imagine how much work was involved. Some classes never have a reunion, usually because there is no one to step up and get the ball rolling. We are so lucky to have you and your committee.
This reunion was especially nice because everyone seemed genuinely glad to see everybody.....not just their close friends. Just seeing their faces took us back to a special time long ago..... |

Re: Great 45th Reunion.....Class of 62!!!! |
Audrey,
You are exactly right. This was a banner year for a reunion, judging by the turnout, the enthusiasm, and the joyous time had by all.
I felt a kindred spirit with everyone at the BBQ and the banquet.
One of the most touching times for me was the beautiful candle-lighting ceremony Nancy Snyder and some of the other ladies designed for the occasion.
Please give serious consideration to another reunion 2012. I PROMISE to pitch in and help any way I can....if I'm still able to do so.
Every class can only WISH they had a "Joe and Elizabeth-type" couple. Aren't we delighted that we do....along with a cracker-jack committee!
Thanks for your message, Audrey.
To the rest of our class: don't forget to post your messages weekly--certainly monthly....
Best regards to all,
David "Jesse" Sparks |
