Michael Ray Eanes, 57, of 104 Dove Lane, Martinsville, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at his home.

He was born on June 4, 1952, in Martinsville to John Morton Eanes and Christine Young Eanes. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alonza “Buck� Eanes and Annie B. Stokes Eanes; maternal grandfather, Jackson Lee Young; and maternal grandmother, Doris Young Ingram.

Eanes received a bachelor of science degree from Virginia Tech and was the logistics manager for CPFilms. He was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother of Martinsville; twin daughters, Katherine Ann Eanes and Stacey Elizabeth Eanes, both of Martinsville; and two brothers, John David Eanes of Kansas City, Mo., and Donald Lee Eanes of Martinsville.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. Mike Hatfield and the Rev. Randy Stevens officiating. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home.
