I check this neat site about twice per week to see what my former classmates are up to. It seems no one is talking. I guess they still have Melvin Smith in London???
What about the old dogs reunion? Who all is coming? ...and who is going to the concert? If you make us aware, it will encourage others. Best wishes to all of you! |

Hey Leon,
I read the message boards often but rarely see many messages from our classmates. I would love to hear more from our classmates and find out where and what they are doing. You know, we've only had one reunion and that was with another class 22 years or so ago. I have lived in Mt. Airy, NC for 38 years and worked for 20 in the retail business. We have one son and 2 grandchildren. You may have read that my husband, Grey (class of '61), passed away in Nov. 2009 so life has been very different. I did get to see lots of folks from Martinsville who attended the graveside service for Grey at Roselawn Cemetery. Patsy Hobson was there....Billy Ratcliff, John Dyches, Harry Wade, Rannie Bouldin, Ann Mattox Lackey, Coco and Lucy Carter, Kitty Lea Carter Ratcliff, Johnnie Fulcher, Gerald Yeatts, Billy T. Hensley, etc. It was so nice that all of these folks joined me in saying good-bye to Grey. I appreciated it so much. There were lots more there, also, to say their good-byes too. I will not be able to attend the Old Dawgs reunion but would love to. I will be in Canada. I think Molly Randolph and Cary Cole will be there though. If you attend have a wonderful time and say hey for me to those who attend. Let me know what you're up to and about your life the last 47 years. Can you believe that much time has passed?

Leon, here are the ones I know so far from your class who are attending the Old Dawgs
Garland Burch, Edward Moore, David Reynolds, Lonnie Carter, Molly Randolph,Bill Moore, Marie White Craddock, Cary Cole Happe, melvin Smith, Hazel Glenn, Dink Gardner, Ann Carter Gardner. Let me know if you would like to join in. There are also those from '62 and '64 who will be there. |
