She was a dear friend and will be greatly missed. I agree our numbers are dwindling. |

The loss of Doris is very sad news. I remember when we both attended clearview Elem. She was always cheerful, very funny and one of my best childhood friends. I will miss her very much. |

Re: Class of 1964 Loses a Fellow Classmate |
Although I don't specifically remember Doris...I feel grief everytime I read about another classmate. I've shared with many people recently about how special our class was. It took such a long time to reunite, I will be at any gathering, reunions, another outing akin to Nag's Head, to remain in touch.
I am very sorry to hear of her loss to friends, family, and will keep you in my thoughts.
For me, there is an urgency to stay connected...and, a joy.
Love,
Nell |

Judy, I am very sorry to hear of
Doris Stanley's passing. I attended Clearview with her as we both lived on Greyson Street. Her dad, Earnest, and my dad were affiliated in the woodworking business. My sister Pat, who lives in Martinsville, told me that Betty Sue lost her mother recently. She was in the Beverly Nursing Home briefly as is my mother. Jerry |

Re: Class of 1964 Loses a Fellow Classmate |
I was so sorry to hear about Doris. I have many fond memories of her from high school. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always very kind.I agree with Nell, we have lost too many classmates too soon!
I will be in Martinsville next week, August 12-15 to visit my Mom. My brother Fred will be there also. Give me a call, 632-3821.
