It appears that the excitement for this site has faded, but I still check it now and again. Hope you and your families are well. I suppose our oldest children could be between 35 and 40. For those of us who have no grandchildren you could share your favorite stories. Jerry

Hi, Jerry...

Good to hear from you on the good old Mavahi website. You're correct: We need to liven up our respective Class webpages once again. You and the Class of '64 have certainly done some heavy lifting in contributing messages over the years.

We just celebrated a new little granddaughter, Tiffany Faith Tipton, a week or so ago. She is a little princess for sure. A gift directly from Heaven.

I wrote a message about our first grandchild, Timothy, on Mavahi.Com back on June 29, 2005...[Class of 1962 Page].
You may get a kick out of checking it out. The write-up was later published and circulated in a magazine called "The Experience" in September of 2005.

One of the cutest grandbaby stories I've heard lately is a true one. A local lady has a little 3-yr.-old grandson, who found himself with a newborn baby sister. The family wondered how he would react to this new little "creature" who had invaded his domain.

Grandma went to visit them about a week after little Sis was born, and was greeted at the door by the little boy. With his hands on his hips he declared, "Well, Grandma, she's STILL here!"

Jerry, I don't recall ever knowing a finer, nicer family than the Poffs of northside Martinsville. You come from "good timber."

Your pal in Christ,

David Sparks
