New Year - New Tricks - 12
01/01/02     Wes Shumate  (1965)      ses2@optonline.net
Who says you can't teach "Old 'Dawgs" new tricks? I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to see my classmates this year at the first reunion held by the new MHS alumni association. Our class reunion in 2000 was such fun, I couldn't wait until 2005 to see you again. In addition, we get to see some of the characters from other classes that enlivened our MHS experiences. Reading the messages from the classes of '64 and '66 brought back a lot of fond memories from those wonder years. Mike Uram's Class Quiz (see "Old number 32") and the responses are a hoot. I was glad to learn that Mr. Stack's grandson finally released Judy Crews from detention hall.

Best wishes to all of the "Old 'Dawgs of Cleveland Avenue" for a healthy and joyous new year!

P.S. Thanks to our '65 classmates who represented us at the organizing meeting for the alumni association.

Re: New Year - New Tricks
I think the combined reunion sounds wonderful. However, I never expected to go to a reunion with my mother (class of '44). This should be interesting.

Re: New Year - New Tricks
Hey, Wes Shumate! It's been a long time since I saw you last! I too
have enjoyed the comments of this forum and the opportunity to be the butt of
so many jokes. I didn't think I would want to attend any reunions other than my
own beloved class of '64, but now that there are plans for a school-wide gathering,
I think that will be great fun also. Look forward to seeing you there.
