Classmate Jerry Brock has passed away - 12
11/10/13     Phil Sparks  (1965)      PhilSparks@kimbanet.com
I was saddened to learn that Jerry Brock has passed away. Jerry retired as Martinsville's Fire Chief in 2006. He was found injured at his Mother's home on Myrtle Rd. Tuesday afternoon. He was airlifted to Roanoke where he later succumbed. Jerry was one of the best guys around, he lived a stellar life and was greatly respected. My condolences to Brenda, their sons and family.

Re: Classmate Jerry Brock has passed away
First met Jerry Brock in the summer of 1951, when I lived on
the south side of town and he lived on Park Street. Many times I would walk with him to/from Joseph Martin elementary in the first and second grade! Always a nice guy.

He and I "re-united" in Junior High and High School.

I recall running into him one time downtown when he was dressed in his firefighter uniform suit. I asked if he had joined the Salvation Army! He continued to be a nice guy laughing at my stupid joke!

My deepest sympathy to his family for their tragic loss! He
will be remembered!
