So saddened to report the passing of your fellow '66 classmate, Dolores Gregory Stoneman. My deepest sympathy to the Stoneman and Gregory families.
OBIT
Delores “Dodie” Stoneman, 71 of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, June 18th. She was born May 18, 1948 in Martinsville to her loving parents, John Lloyd Gregory and Charlotte Taylor Gregory.
Her most cherished memory in life was the time she spent with her grandson, John. Dodie is preceded in death by parents, J. Lloyd and Charlotte Gregory; brother, John Gregory, Jr. and her beloved son Derik Stoneman.
She is survived by one loving grandson, John G. Stoneman; one daughter, Suzanne T. Stoneman; one “special son” Eric Thompson; two sisters, Marilyn G. Conner, and Cindy G. Kanode; many special friends and family.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Sovah Health, Martinsville, CCU (Dr. Kahn and Hope, R.N.) and Will Shough, PA-C of Martinsville Family Medicine.
Visitation services will be held Thursday, June 20th from 5-7 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, Virginia. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Erick Kieselbach officiating. The burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
