To my wonderful friends - 13
01/29/07     Brenner Pugh  (1966)      btpugh@vcu.org
To my dear friends,

I wish I could have made it to the party in October. Seeing those pictures brings back a host of memories—you all look so good. You haven’t changed a bit and are still as good looking as you were in ’66.

Though I lived in Martinsville for only one year, my senior year at Mavahi, it was one of the best years of my life, as well as one of the best times for my family. I recall with fondness all of you and I hope mightily that you are all well and happy. I saw a few of you at the ’96 reunion at the football game and had great fun listening to your experiences since graduation. I wish I could have stayed longer that night, and I wish I could have talked with more of you.

Honestly, we can’t wait another 10 years to get together. As I read of the passing of Steve Saunders, I was genuinely moved (Mel, you’re a terrific writer). We should try to meet two years out, if not later this year. And perhaps Paula can put up those pictures that she promised us. I would love to see you, even if it’s just another picture of you.

I love you all. Take care,
Brenner

Re: To my wonderful friends
Oh my God, Brenner how good to hear from you. We were all wanting to see you in Oct. also. I would love to send you more photos,(of me) if someone would tell me how to post them. I tried and failed!!! What in the world are you up to by now? Please let us all know. I agree that we just can not wait so long to be togeher again. It was just so wonderful! I had a dream last night that we all got together in M'ville again and the place we had it only let us have 3 cocktails a piece~~~needless to say we didn't stay there long. Oh lordy, I would love to hear from you and even more so see and talk with you. I told Trippi and everyone else that I would love to have a party here at my home in the summer. I have enough room outside for about 75 people. My husband has MS and used to be a big runner, so we put in a pool for him. We could sit around the pool and drink and drink and drink and catch up!!! What do ya think??? We could invite everyone and see what kind of response we get and could always move to somplace larger if needed. My oldest son has property up near the Homestead. There are all kinds of possibilities!!! Please, please please let me hear from you. GD, what a wonderful blast from the past!!!
I Love you,
Paula Baughan Hawthorne

Re: To my wonderful friends
Brenner - As you said in the past, "Big leggy woman let your coat tail down." It has been awhile but I have great memories of our times together. I have finally retired and have time to reconnect. Best regards - Larry Smith
