What Memories.....Remember Me??? - 14
01/24/02     Page Connelly  (1967)      connelap@aol.com
Do you remember me?? I left after our sophmore year as my parents sent me to private school at Patterson School. After Patterson, I attended Western Carolina, then a community college (still playing b'ball) and graduated from UNC-Wilmington in health & P.E. Have worked the past 29 years for DuPont living in Wilmington,NC, Charleston,SC, and now in Mooresville,NC just north of Charlotte. We have 2 children, daughter in grad school at ECU and a son who is a senior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical Univ. in Daytona flying planes (to be a pilot) and just finished his final year of college soccer. I just found this site and thoroughly enjoyed reading about everyone. Sounds like life has been good and it has for us. Have not been back to Martinsville since fall of 1967 so know things have changed. If any of you are in the area, look us up and would love to renew old friendships!

Re: What Memories.....Remember Me???
Page, I remember you, but I'm sure you don't remember me. Aren't you Lynn's younger brother? If so, please let her know that we are having a joint class reunion for all classes from the old high school on Cleveland. May 4th, 1 p.m. on Ben Ramsey Field...a BBQ. Details are on the general message board. Both of you are eligible for this one! Would love to see you. Is Lynn still in Florida?

Re: What Memories.....Remember Me???
Hi Page,
Yes, I remember you, but from elementary or junior high rather than high school. Weren't you in Miss Marshall's class in 7th grade? Or maybe we were in the same homeroom in 8th grade...?

Good to hear from another North Carolinian!

Re: What Memories.....Remember Me???
Page, I can't believe all the folks that I have gotten back in touch with through this fantastic website. Don't know if you remember me but we lived across the street from you all on Gratton Rd for a while during my early high school days at Mavahi. Wes Shumate lived next to you all and we all played together. We moved over to Clarke Rd during my last year or two in high school and my folks moved out to the country, in Spencer, Va after I went off to college. My brother, Monty, was probably closer to your age but we all hung out together, Moose Spencer, Wes, remember Curt Albee, Particia Stillwell. We used to go back in the woods behind our house and play on those trees that were blown over by a storm. It's been a few years ago. Your Dad worked for DuPont if I remember right, he was a safety engineer or something like that. He used to get after me for pulling the lawn mower, said if I slipped I'd cut off my foot, and he was right. Glad to hear that you all are doing well. Say Hi to your sister for me next time you talk to her.

Hi Page....I remember you..seems like you played baseball and track (hope I'm right!) Do you remember me? Judi (Boyd) Whelan It was great finding your message on the board...this has been a super way for everyone to "reconnect" after so many years. A lot of us plan to converge on Martinsville this weekend...it would be great if you could join us.
