Christmas Eyes - 14
08/21/07     DapperDanny Simpson  (1967)      finedesigndan@yahoo.com
Judi, Judy, and Michelle, I reckon you get as good as you give and you girls give good. (Did anyone else feel Hack's hackles rise on that?) For those of you who lingered until the lights came up at midnight, and the music ended a few minutes later, you know I hugged you all, and a few spice, before leaving. Matter of fact, if I hug Helen Finney one more time I might not let go. For those of you who left earlier, sorry I missed your exit, and I appreciate the comradeship all around. For you absentees, you missed a good one and we missed you. Try harder in 5 years.

Please allow me to share some observations. All in fun, no lawsuits, BWB. In order from most to least obvious:
1. Martha Dandridge Overton: Let me spell it out...S-T-A-T-U-E-S-Q-U-E 2. Jack Self: 2 words: Electric Slide (or is it Studey Baker?) 3. George Morris: smooth footwork, do I smell dance lessons? 4. Billy Wayne, who has become a class icon: at 36 year, all Panda...at 40 year (after too much court time) a touch of Grizzl'd B'ar...easy big fella, easy. 5. Sue and Lou Carter: the girls have Christmas Eyes, I realized up close and personal during a twist medley with Sue. When excited, her eyes sparkle like a kid at Christmas. If you haven't seen it, take a look 5 years hence. Incredible. Speaking of, see everyone then. Peace, y'all. www.finedesigndan.com

Re: Christmas Eyes
Dan: That was a beautiful message and thank you for the cudos! Michelle and Judy spent months of researching and emailing folks to get a respectable and reliable list of folks from our class. Once we sent out the invitations, it was entirely up to the class of '67 to respond....and they did! These reunions are getting better....more like a good old sock hop! Folks were singing along with the music and dancing like teenagers again!
After a weekend like this, can the 45th in 2012 get here soon enough?
