Special Contribution - 15

Thank you Sarah Draper Baselici for your generous contribution to MAVAHI Class of 1968 in memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Hammill
(Beth's mom). Beth has been so involved in our Class Reunions and her mom enjoyed so much keeping up with all her daughter's classmates.

Re: Special Contribution
Once again I am amazed at the love from my friends in the Class of '68. Sarah Jane and I were the best of friends in high school and I am so fortunate to have been able to continue our relationship through all these many years.

My mother loved to hear all the details of our reunions and the news I'd bring back on everyone. Last December we drove up to the Marshall Field's Lodge so she could see where our next event would be held while we were in town visiting Libby Cobb. Even though she loved Athens and lived there for over 35 years, part of her always missed Martinsville. It's where she and dad first started their lives together and raised me and my brothers. She and dad were also fortunate enough to continue the friendships they made in Martinsville in the 24+ years they were there. In fact, while we have our reunion in May, my dad will be visiting with his friends at Kings Grant and staying with one of his oldest and dearest friends, Stanley Cobb. He's really looking forward to that.

Mom would have been thrilled by this thoughtful donation and I think that not only is this an honor to her life but may be a great idea for others to do in honor of someone special.

Thank you, Sarah Jane - I love you, too!
