Our sympathy to Glenn Pingry - 15
07/21/07     Beth Hammill Byrnes  (1968)      bethbyrnes@bellsouth.net
The Class of '68 extends our sympathy to Glenn and his family in their time of sorrow. Glenn's older brother, Elmer, passed away on July 11, 2007. He was 70 years old and had a fall down the stairs. He was retired from the City of Martinsville.

The latest address I have for Glenn is: 137 Mack Road, Martinsville, VA 24112 if anyone would like to send him a card.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Glenn.

Re: Our sympathy to Glenn Pingry
Thanks so much, it was such a bizarre accident, he was carrying some laundry down the stairs along with a fillet knife that he was taking down to sharpen. when his bad knee gave he toppled down the last couple of stairs and the knife went right through the carotid artery. He started screaming and his wife called 911. HE GOT UP AND GOT OUT THE BASEMENT DOOR(25-30ft) so he wouldn't bleed on the carpet! We really miss him but he's with the Lord now.
