This must be the same Ronnie Wilson. . . I remember your moment of glory, I think in 1964. After the end of the school year at Druid Hills Elementary, I was walking home with a crowd of happy kids along Indian Trail. . . there's a loud commotion behind us; here's a bicycle, someone else is piloting, Ronnie Wilson is riding on the handlebars (or maybe on the luggage rack); and he's shouting for all the world to hear, "I GOT EIGHT U's AND I PASSED!!!"
Way back when. |

Yea man! You know that's got to be me but I believe that was "65"??? Can you believe I have had two children to attend @ Druid Hills as many of us have. That old school brought back alot of good memories the first time I went to a parent/teacher conference. Can you believe the new superintendent is trying to close Druid Hills? Maybe we should protest to the school board? |

Historic school buildings? |
Closing Druid Hills!? A serious concern. Should any of the city's school buildings be nominated for listing in the National Register of Historic Places? I think that the Cleveland Avenue building, at least, should be considered; maybe more. (This is a subject that I'm pretty well versed in.) |
