Jamie's Passing - 21
05/08/06     Jeff Belcher  (1976)      jrb@lee-mcshane.com
I was down for Jamie's funeral this past weekend and was one of Jamie's Pall Bearers. Although that is the last thing I ever wanted to do, it was a big honor for me.

I know a lot of you wanted to be there as we all loved him so much. He was a gentle giant. He could push a tree over with his hands and then in the next minute fix the smallest feather on a bird. He was unbelievably dimensional both in his physicality and in his personal make-up as well.

While the ceremony was very sad and emotional, but uplifting as well. We should all be so lucky to have as many people care about us as Jamie had. There were many people at his viewing and the funeral, from all walks of life and all types of backgrounds. That sums Jamie up, all were his friend on the same level.

One thing I will always remember about my old buddy was his big old smile. I am going to smile a big smile, just like Jamie did, everytime I think of him and pass that on to other people as he did his entire life.

He was an inspiration to many people in many ways and I will always remember and cherish the times we spent together.

Take care everyone.
