Nick Basha - 24

Nick Basha passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. His sisters have been through so much!! His mother had just passed away and was buried on Friday, January 4, 2013. Nick will be missed!! I always enjoyed talking with Nick when I would run into him. RIP my friend!!

Nicholas L. Basha
Died Saturday, January 5, 2013
Jan 9, 2013

The funeral for Nicholas “Nick” Louis Basha, 51, of Spruce Street, Martinsville, who died Jan. 5, 2013, at his home, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville and other times at homes on Spruce Street in Martinsville or Maple Drive in Collinsville.

Basha was born May 25, 1961, in Queens, N.Y., to Louis B. and Anastasia Sofolarides Basha. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Murray Behar Basha.

He was a graduate of Martinsville High School and was employed by the Henry County School System as a bus driver.

He was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Basha was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Amvets, Elks Club and Fontaine Ruritan Club.

Surviving are his wife, Geneva H. Basha of Collinsville; two sisters, Victoria Basha Terrell of Cascade and Barbara Basha Arthur of Martinsville; one stepson, Eddie Huffman of Collinsville; one step-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
