Re: Reunion!
Ditto Annette. I know everyone has their own thing going on but I'm sorry so many people that live in the 'Ville or are close to it didn't attend. That's always very frustrating and difficult to understand, especially for those of us who travel so far. For me, this reunion may have shed some light on the subject. Of the many reasons for not attending and with the present state of the economy in mind, I just want all our classmates to know that diplomas, resumes, or even good manners is not required for admission. We just want to see ya! Many of us have known each other between 5 and 40 years. Some of us have long overdue thank you's, apologies, secrets, etc. to past on. Things that have affected people for years. Many have moved on, yet many have not. I talked to people at this reunion and was amazed at some of the baggage they're still carrying. I've got some too but just a small overnight bag, lol. I know high school wasn't great for everybody, but I was shocked and hurt over some of the things my closest friends went through without me knowing. I wish I had known. Like a parent, you're very happy to see your kids when they come home, so you can access them. The one's that don't, you just have to pray for because you don't know if they're really okay until you look into their eyes. It was absolutely wonderful to see so many of you. I use our reunions to reset and ground myself, so thank you for helping me keep on keeping on. I've met a lot of people in my time in many different places, but you'll be truly challenged to find higher quality folk than the citizens of Martinsville, Va. and especially the class of 1984. Love you all!

Re: Reunion!
Annette...agreed, it was the best time and I was so glad to be a part of it!!! John, thanks for those words! It had been 25 years since I had been home and I was a bit anxious to say the least. It was truly a blessing to me to see people like you and Annette after so long! I'm not sure what it is that our class has, but I have never met a group of people like ours. We've all gone our separate ways, but the bond is still there and I am proud to be a part of such a loving bunch of people! I do not plan on letting another 25 years go by before my next trip to Martinsville and I hope to see all of you soon and hope to see many more classmates in future visits!
