Classmate Wilfred Robertson, Obit - 3
01/01/24     Esther Sparks Powell  (1956)      bhhpowell36@yahoo.com
So saddened to learn of Wilfred Robertson's passing. He was a loyal "Ole Dawg" and '56 classmate. If I had been looking up the definition of "gentleman," it would not have surprised me to see Wilfred's picture there.
My deepest sympathy to Sarah and the rest of the family.

Harry Wilfred Robertson, 85, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was born September 28, 1938, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late William Harry Robertson and Arnetta Hairfield Robertson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Eldean Mills; and brother, Wayne Robertson.

Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army in Fort Huachuca, where he served in the Honor Guard and was a draftsman. Harry was a dedicated employee at American Standard Building Systems for 30 years as Director of Engineering. He was a faithful member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and helped in the nursery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sarah Connelly Robertson; sons, Kirk Robertson, and Kevin Robertson (Mary); brothers, C.J. Robertson (Myrtle); grandchildren, Skyler Robertson, Peyton Robertson, Autumn Ryann, and Austin Robertson; and four nephews.

The private graveside service will be at Roselawn Mausoleum with Chaplain Paul Johnson officiating.

The Robertson family is grateful to Kings Grant Assisted Living, and Healthcare as well as Mountain Valley Hospice for the care given to Harry and the support given to Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to McCabe Baptist Church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Kings Grant Fellowship Fund, or Mountain Valley Hospice in memory of Harry Robertson.

Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.wrightfuneralservices.net
