Johnny Crews, where are you now? - 3
11/02/02     Barbara Guthrie Cobb  (1957)      bcobb@charter.net
Used to love hearing you play that great trumpet! My parents saw you perform professionally a couple of times -- once in Las Vegas and again in the Bahamas -- and came home so proud of the audience reaction you received.

I'd really like to know where you are now and if you're still performing. In fact, would love to hear you play again!

Re: Johnny Crews, where are you now?
Hey, Ms. VA: I am Johnny's younger sister and saw your posting. Thought I'd respond that John is alive and well and in the process of moving to Emporia VA as I type. He is retiring from Las Vegas to Emporia, where my other brother George lives, so he can play golf everyday. I will tell him to check this website out so he can read your message and respond to you himself.

Re: Johnny Crews, where are you now?

Thanks Judy! Glad to hear his professional career was a good and long one -- he was a bundle of talent and played a mean horn! He's the reason I began listening to Ruby Braff, Chet Baker, Harry James and other great horn players. I hope he gets in touch!
