Cletus "Chip" Dalton Need prayers - 30
04/05/05     Sally White  (1985)      Sally.White@xerox.com
Found this note in the Martinsville Bullitin Stroller Monday. "Cletus "Chip" Dalton of Richmond and formerly of Martinsville is battling cancer and his family here say that receiving cards or correspondence from home would boost his moral. Dalton's parents, George and Katy Dalton, and brothers, Gary and Bobby Dalton, all live in Martinsville. A sister, Robin Dalton is principal at Varino High School in Richmond. Bobby Dalton is a football coach at Martinsville High School. Dalton's mother is also requesting prayer for her son. His address is: 800 Fahey Circle, Richmond, Va. 23226."

Re: Cletus
Thanks for putting this on the site. I hope and pray that all of Chips classmates keep him in his prayers and send him some mail. For those of us who have our health and strength, we are so blessed. Sickness has no respect of person. Please pray for him and each other.

Re: Cletus
A special thanks to Sally White for placing Chip's information on this site.

I hope and pray that we all will uphold Chip in our prayers. Support him with an abundance of letters and cards that contain words of encouragement during his time of need.

Re: Cletus
I Would like to thank everybody who has sent me cards, phone calls, put me on their prayer list at their churches and the ones who kept me in their minds. It has been a rough road to climb on my way to recovery. My mom put the message in the bulletin because of the news I received after I had my operation. Things were not in my favor to recover quickly. I found out the other day my cat scan might not be accurate. So, The doctor at the cancer institute believe all I need now is radiation treatments and I'm back on my way to being me. I will keep everyone posted after I have this new cat scan(I have become use to being poked with needles so I can deal with another cat scan :)).
thanks for everybodies concern

Re: Cletus
Cletus/aka Pancake, it has been years since I've seen that rusty jumper of yours in action. I knew sitting in between me and Flood on the bench would get you sick. But on the serious side, I am thinking and praying for you daily. I would love to hear from you and be kept updated with your progress. I miss you, as I miss all my boyz from my B-ball days, but I can close my eyes and hear your kackling lil laugh and it makes me laugh with you. I know that these are tough times for you and your family, but when times get rough just close your eyes and remember all the good times and all the jumpers I blasted on you over the years and it will make you feel alot better. Get well!! Your brother always, Hancock 14
