Wayne Morley, 67, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Kingsport, Tenn., on Sept. 27, 1939, to Ernest Morley and Anne Bell Bartlett Morley. He was preceded in death by his mother.

He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1957. His career in the insurance business led him to live in Roanoke, in Plano, Texas, and Overland Park, Kan. He retired to Murrells Inlet, where he worked part time at the Garden City Pier. He was president of the Garden City Pier Club.

Morley was a member of the Grand Strand Church of Christ.

In addition to his father of Martinsville, surviving are his wife, Faye Carlton-Morley of Murrells Inlet; two daughters, Terri Morley of Atlantic Beach, N.C., and Pam Joyce of Spencer; one granddaughter of Spencer; two stepdaughters, Victoria Fatula of Redmond, Wash., and Robin King of Wilmington, N.C.; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Grand Strand Church of Christ on Glens Bay Road, with Pastor Jay Thornell officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
