I just found out about this website today.
My brother, Wilbur Leonard Wright, died December 25,1995 and I didn't know how to reach his old friends and classmates. If anyone knows what happened to John Hurd Campbell, Bill Ratliff, Geneva Handy, Joy Wingfield, Elsie Wagoner, or any of his other friends please contact me. I think of them often and wonder how and where they are.

| Elsie Louise Wagoner. She was working at Piedmont Primecare in Danville, Virginia the last time I saw her. I think she said that she had been married 3 times and all of them are deceased. I don't know what name she goes by. Telephone number where she did work is 434-791-2273. |

Barbara,
Doesn't seem like you've heard from anyone so here's what I know about two on your list.
First, I'm in the process of moving from M'ville to Atlanta, so hello to any Peach Staters.
John Hurd passed away a few years back. Can't tell you when. Joy Wingfield married Joe Philpott of the Philpott, VA Philpotts. Famous old Virginia hillbilly family so I tell Joy as I lived in "down-town down-river Bassett for years. Also Iris Arnn and Lois Jean Wray all fell to Basset guys. Bill Hall also lived in Bassett and we worked together at Wal-Mart for 4-5 years.We had our own Alumni group up there.
Can't tell you anything about the others. |

First let me extend my belated sympathies regarding Wilbur.....he was a fine young man and a classmate of mine. I do have some information for you about Wilbur's friends. John Hurd Campbell died in June of 1991; Geneva Handy Winn lives @ 405 Fisher Street in Martinsville, Va. 24112; Joy Wingfield Philpott lives @ 1041 Philpott Road in Bassett, Va. 24055 and Elsie Wagoner Woodson lives @ 152 Avalon Drive in Danville, Va. 24541.
