Rip Moser - 52
08/29/04     kathy mitchell foster  (1965)      katfos47@yahoo.com
I believe Rip was a member of the class of '55. He passed away on 8/23/04 and a service was held today in Jacksonville, Florida where he resided for the last 22 years. Rip attended both of the 2 Old Dawgs reunions and really enjoyed them. I will miss not seeing him in October.
If you are interested, there is a "guest page" set up with the Florida Times Union newspaper on the internet. You can read his obit and some lovely remarks from some of his friends.

Re: Rip Moser
Ms. Foster ... your thoughts and words were
indeed very kind relating to Rip Moser. Rip
was with the Class of 1956. May Rip Moser
be remembered eternally at Martinsville HS
and not only for his football exploits. Few
students that ever "walked the halls" of the
old school on Cleveland Ave ever gained the
popularity that Rip knew ... and it was for
being a solid student that was well liked.

Re: Rip Moser
More info about visiting the Guest book
for "Rip". Go to http//www.floridatimes
union.com. On that site key in (type)
"Obituaries" within the search window.
This will lead you to the obit page where
you will need to click on the guest book
icon and then type in "Moser". I encourage
all MHS'ers that knew "Rip" to visit this
site and leave your thoughts about him.
