| That is the name given to the newly formed alumni association for people who attended the old high school on Cleveland Avenue. A reunion is planned for Saturday, May 4, 2002 on the old Ben Ramsey Field at 1 p.m. It will be a BBQ, catered by Pigs R Us. The cost is $15.00 per person. We are asking that you respond by April 15 by sending your check made payable to: Old 'Dawgs of Cleveland Avenue, c/o Edna M. Grindstaff; 51 Mount Carmel Road; Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. If you wish to join the association, please include an additional $10.00 membership fee. We encourage you to contact everyone you know, friends and family who attended the old high school between 1939 and 1968 and tell them about this. Also, please bring along folding chairs in your car. If you have questions or want to make suggestions, please contact me. Thanks! |

Great name choice! Ben Ramsey field was
also an excellent choice for the location
of the first Combined Reunion. My wife and
I will be there, for sure. |

Is ben Ramsey Field the Old Football field behind the Cleavland Ave nu School. Or is the football field beside of the Commonwealth Blvd School?
Please answer here as well by regular email. This will be the first Class Reunion I will have attended. I paid to attend for, the last one (68 class) but was involved in a car accident. The one before a Lady crossed from Spring Street into a TV shop Across Memorial Blvd, I was caught in between. Riding the hood of the car into the shop. So I haven't been able to attend the two previous other Reunions.
