"Old Dawgs" Reunion on Oct. 13, 2018 - 54
10/16/18     Esther Sparks Powell  (1956)      bhpowell36@yahoo.com
As promised, here is my report...such as it is, and a little sooner than I thought.

The attendance for Saturday's "Old Dawgs" reunion was a bit off this year with only 60 people attending, but it was still another fun time.

During a lull in arrivals, David Sparks and Kathy Mitchell Rice livened things up with an inspiring rendition of "Heart of My Heart," and oh, how they did harmonize. Amazingly, David knew all the words. Later while waiting for the caterers from Debbie's in Stoneville to set up, David and Kathy were still on a roll and led us all in a rousing group sing of "Heart of My Heart." Of course, since some of the words often eluded most of us, there were several places that David ended up going solo. However, that was not the case after lunch when Ann Gardner led us in the school songs. I don't think I am alone in having the words to those songs etched in my heart.

I am sorry that I do not have the cities or states of those who had to travel a distance to get here, but to the best of my knowledge, here are the names of all who attended. Thanks to Anna Sparks, and Jeanne Flora Hinchee for helping me at the registry table. Also, Thanks to Ann Hill Rash for her help and for sharing her photo albums from previous "Old Dawgs" reunion.
