Mavahi Remodeled - 54
05/15/01     General School
Mavahi has recently been remodeled. Back of the school has been tied in with the Shop building. Ben Ramsey field still exists, but the grandstands and goalposts have been removed. Brown Street dead-ends at the Shop building.

Re: Mavahi Remodeled
I have not been in the School since it has been remodeled but am looking forward to it in June. Tne outside looks so much better and every body will need to sign the wall with our Class Of 1965 at the top of the wall. We would like to get as many names as we can. I hope everyone will be interested.

I have been in the school and it is beautiful. You will be impressed with what you see. I can't wait for the brunch on Saturday morning and the opportunity to see the school once again. The autograph wall is a great idea...let's all do it!

Re: Mavahi Remodeled
We had a brunch in the new school as part of our reunion in June 2000. Everything looked great. We roamed the halls with Debby Simpson (now retired from teaching there) and she showed as all the "new stuff". It brought back lots of memories.

Re: Mavahi Remodeled
Didn't make it to the old building when I was in for our 45th class reunion, but I did drive around and see the remodeling and "dead end". That was a big improvement!

Many of us in our class used to hang around outside the old gym during lunch and other breaks, hoping for a glimpse of the fellas we had crushes on!

In fact, we started that in Junior High, sneaking off the playground during recess. My mother drove by on her way downtown one day and saw me. She didn't embarrass me in front of my friends, but I sure got an earful after school.

Is the autograph wall for everyone, or just the class of '65?
