Can any one list all of the years that Martinsville won?

Too many to remember....
...especially in basketball (thanks to Husky Hall, Mel Cartwright; and many very good players through the years).

However, I believe '75-'76 was the only time Mavahi won state championships in football and basketball in the same academic year.

That was the second year competing in Group AA (750-1000 students in grades 10/11/12?) after many competitive years in Group AAA (1000+). A year or two later the Piedmont District teams refused to play us in football for one season; we were too good.

Fond memories of Saturday afternoon playoff games and Coach Dick Hensley waxing poetic about his Bulldog football team on Sundays (on WMVA).
