Buzzy Duff - 26

On Sunday, September 6, 2009 we lost another member of our graduating class. On that day my friend, Buzzy Duff, died at his home in Axton.

I just found out last night about the death of my friend Buzz. Another old friend who I see way too little of called and left a message.Buzz was one of my closest friends growing up,I spent many a day and night on Graves St at his house,playing football in the old field and camping at the Ridge. We were both at Ft Bragg together for a short while serving with the 82nd Airborne.These are things I have not thought about for quite some time now. I had not seen Buzz for many years and I know there had been many changes in his life of which I was not aware.But like many old friends we do not see much of anymore we always imagine them just as we always knew them.Just over the horizon,always there,just that one phone call,that one chance meeting away.You see I believe that our childhood friends are our bedrock,always there,hidden somewhere deep inside the people we have become. It seems as I approach that unimaginable half century mark that more and more of that bedrock is slowly chipped away. Yvonne thank you for posting this,I did not even know this site existed.I hope this finds you and Gray well. And to Buzz I hope that you find the peace and serenity that may have eluded you in life wherever your journey may take you,I will miss you my friend.Rest in peace.
